mongol LGBT olon niit duu hooloigoo negtgeye.
we are writing to update you that the State Registration Agency has accepted our registration application today, and that hopefully we'll have our NGO certificate by the end of this year. This, of course, was post numerous letters that many of you sent to the Ministry of Justice and Home Affairs and the National Human Rights Commission of Mongolia from various places, and us knocking on the doors of many officials, the two of whom, Ms. Oyungerel, the President of Mongolia's Advisor on Human Rights and Ms. Oyunchimeg, the Commissioner of the National Human Rights Commission of Mongolia, have been very influential, if not instrumental, in the SRA's final agreement to register us under our original name "LGBT Centre". We are very happy to have such a committed incumbent Human Rights Advisor to the President of Mongolia who continually makes strong equality calls and who is truly for inclusiveness, i.e., of human rights for all. As some of you might know, this summer we were quite busy helping to realise the first art exhibition on LGBT in Mongolia. We're attaching a link to the exhibition that Brandt Miller, a friend, together with another friend, Marieke Gunsche, did here in Mongolia in early July. It has now found a home online, http://beyondthebluesky.com/ Thank you all for your great support, and wishing you a beautiful festive season ahead!
